| | Golf TalkOctober 31, 2009 - Jim StephensonTip of the Week: PUTTING. When you correctly grip your putter, the palms should be facing each other, with both thumbs pointing down the shaft. To a right handed player the back of the left hand and the face of the putter will be in alignment with each other. So remember, wherever the back of the left hand goes, so goes the face of your putter. Practice two and three foot putts, keeping the left hand going along your putting line. Play the ball just inside your left foot and keep most of your weight on your left side, and your hands slightly ahead of the ball. Take the putter back with your shoulders, then pull the putter through the ball with your shoulders, not your wrists. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
